Timberline Lodge

Rugged Timberline Lodge is the product of a 1930s Works Progress Administration project that led to the 1937 dedication by Franklin D. Roosevelt of a timbered lodge at the 6,000-foot mark of Mt. Hood's southern flank. Today, guests may still enjoy a cozy night's sleep in this National Historic Landmark, taste the finest Northwest cuisine in the Cascade Dining Room or relax by the mammoth fireplace with its 98-foot chimney.
