Timberline - Front Exterior
Historic Timberline Lodge has sheltered both summer adventurers and winter skiers since it was built in the 1930s as a Depression-era Works Progress Administration project. With an average annual snowfall of more than 45 feet, the lodge rests half-buried in snow most of the winter while a removable pedestrian tunnel provides access through the snow to the lodge's front doors.
