San Fernando Cathedral

The oldest cathedral sanctuary in the United States, this cathedral was built in 1731 and rebuilt in 1873 following a fire. The heroes of the Alamo are purported to be buried here. Inside, the hand carved stone baptismal font is believed to have been gifted from King Charles III of Spain in 1759.
