Hogsback

Reaching the base of the Hogsback, which begins at Crater Rock, provides a chance for climbers to eat, rest and gear up for the more technical parts of the climb yet to come. This area received worldwide attention in 2002 when a helicopter sent to rescue injured climbers crashed on the Hogsback.
