Edinburgh Castle - Argyle Battery

This six-cannon installation dates to the 1730s and was the main defense for the castle's north side. Today, the site provides a stunning view of the city and the firth beyond. Adjacent to the battery is the One O'clock Gun, which is fired daily except Sundays and holidays to mark 1300 hours.
