Ponte Fabricio

Dating to 62 B.C., Ponte Fabricio is the oldest surviving bridge in Rome. It crosses the Tiber River on Tiber Island's northwest side. Inscriptions on both sides of the bridge indicate that it was named for the curator of roads at the time of its construction.
