Piazza della Repubblica

The Piazza della Repubblica was built in 1901 as part of a renewal of Rome as the capital of a newly united Italy. The piazza greets visitors arriving by train to Rome's main station and sits with its elaborate Fountain of the Naiads atop the ancient Roman Baths of Diocletian.
